Smiths Station man killed in automobile accident Saturday night

Roger William Williamson of Smiths Station, Ala. was killed in a two-car accident Saturday night in Lee County, Ala.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the accident occurred at 6:46 p.m. at Lee County Road 242 and Lee County Road 239.

According to the Alabama State Patrol, a 2007 Ford Focus driven by Williamson was struck by a 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Rachel West of Logansville, Ga.

West was not injured. A passenger in Williamson's vehicle, Gloria Williamson, was injured.

The case is under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
