3 arrested in shooting at 1st Avenue and 11th Street

Columbus police say they arrested three men early Sunday for a shooting on First Avenue and 11th Street.

Jhismetrius R. Cochran, 22; Jeffery Segar, 21; and Terrence M. Walton, 22, each face a charge of reckless conduct. Cochran also is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, reports state.

Police say the men were at First Avenue and 11th Street early Sunday, where Cochran was arguing with a group of people. At some point, Cochran walked to a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, where Segar and Walton were sitting.

Cochran grabbed a gun from the car and pointed it at the other group. Someone then pushed Cochran away, and he got into the car with Segar and Walton, reports state.

Cochran then fired the gun into the air, police said.

Officers found the men about 3:40 a.m. Sunday on Broadway and arrested them, reports state.
