Ever wonder how a fine art collector thinks?
The Columbus Museum, 1251 Wynnton Road, is offering a fine art day trip and a tour of a private collection in Montgomery. The bus is scheduled to leave from the museum at 8 a.m. June 7 and return at 5 p.m. that day.
The private collection belongs to Babette Wampold and there will also be a guided tour of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
Wampold and her husband, Charles, built a collection with the help of art dealers and auction houses in New York City. The collection includes works by such notables as Alfred Thompson Bricher, Elliott Dangerfield, Walt Kuhn and Abraham Rattner.
