A driver who fled Columbus police Thursday afternoon was later caught and found with $4,570 in marijuana, reports state.
Antonio Vanderson, 34, is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, reckless driving, driving while his license was suspended and an excessive tint violation, police said.
According to reports, an officer stopped Vanderson’s 2003 Mitsubishi Galant because its window tint was excessive. Vanderson then sped away from police, ignoring several traffic signals before he was caught at the Oglethorpe Bridge on Victory Drive.
Officers then discovered about a pound of marijuana on Vanderson, police said.
