It's time again for Cool History at Port Columbus

The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus, 1002 Victory Drive, is bringing its summer Cool History program back.

The first one is "Two Navies, One Ship: The USS/CSS Water Witch" on June 2.

This program started as a way for people who wanted to learn a little something new about the Civil War navies to go inside the museum and stay cool while learning.

So the program will be mostly indoors, though those who would like a tour of the full-scale replica of the Water Witch can go outside and learn about the ship. There will be a canopy for those who would rather stay in the shade, said Jon Ezzell, the museum's public relations manager.

The multi-media presentation will be at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. inside, while the interpretive tour will be at 2:30 p.m.

The museum is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 12:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday-Monday.

Tickets are $6-$7.50.
