A Columbus man was robbed Sunday afternoon outside a Fort Benning Road gas station, police said.
The 37-year-old man was outside 1538 Fort Benning Road about 4:45 p.m. when the robbery happened. The suspect approached the man, threatening to use a pistol. He then took $1,500 in various denominations before fleeing, reports state.
Police say the victim was uninjured.
Reports state the suspect is Jermaine Harris, a 33-year-old black man. He’s 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds.

Harris’ vehicle is a 2001 blue Toyota Highlander, police said.
There have been no arrests.
Sunday’s robbery is the second at the gas station within a week. Police say a 42-year-old man was robbed about 10:10 p.m. May 22 outside the same gas station. Three suspects approached a 42-year-old, pointed pistols at him and then robbed him.
The man was uninjured, police said.
Reports state two of the suspects are black men in their 20s, both with shoulder-length dreadlocks. The third suspect is a white woman.
The suspects fled in a tan four-door car, possibly a Chevrolet, police said. There have been no arrests.
