Columbus police are investigating a possible Molotov cocktail tossed onto the lawn of a 44th Street home earlier this week, reports state.
The makeshift explosive — a 20-ounce soda bottle filled with gasoline that had a lighted paper towel as a fuse — was tossed onto the home’s lawn late Sunday. A witness saw someone drive by the home and someone toss the bottle from the car before fleeing east on 44th Street, toward 17th Avenue, reports state.
Police say no property was damaged by the explosive.
