A gunman accused of robbing a woman last week was caught with her stolen items, Columbus police said.
Dequin Keyon Dozier, 20, is charged with armed robbery, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reports state.
Police say Dozier pointed a pistol at a woman’s head on Friday and took her purse and shoes. Found by police at a Farr Road convenience store the next day, Dozier gave a statement that led to his arrest. Officers then found the woman’s stolen items in a bag Dozier had along with a black .380-caliber pistol.
Dozier was then taken to the Muscogee County Jail, reports state.
