A teen accused of taking a bicycle and ball cap at knifepoint was charged Tuesday afternoon with robbery, Columbus police said.
Jermichael Bellamy, 19, faces robbery, simple battery and simple assault charges, reports state.
According to police, Bellamy and a juvenile approached their victim about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at 32nd Street and 14th Avenue. Bellamy hit the bicycle rider on the head, knocking him off his bike. Bellamy then pulled a knife, and the victim ran from the area.
Police say officers saw Bellamy and the juvenile take the bicycle. They then stopped the suspects, reports state.
