No one was injured in a house fire on Kingsberry Lane late Tuesday, Columbus Fire & EMS officials said.
Firefighters responded about 11:30 p.m. to the home near the intersection of Forrest and Floyd roads. The four people inside the home at the time, including two children, had already left the house and were uninjured, said Battalion Chief David Green.
It took firefighters about 10 to 15 minutes to control the blaze. One firefighter hurt his knee while inside battling the fire. He’s currently recovering at his home, Green said.
The cause and origin of the fire, as well as how much damage was done to the house and its contents, is under investigation, the battalion chief said.
