Burglars made off with a safe filled with savings bonds in an apartment break-in on Woodruff Farm Road earlier this week, Columbus police said.
The burglary happened between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday. The suspect or suspects got inside the home through a window and then opened the front door, reports state.
Police say a safe filled with $1,500 in savings bonds, a $2,000 computer and $1,800 in other items were taken. The resident told officers he doesn’t know if the suspects can open the safe.
Neighbors saw a gold car in the parking lot during the time of the burglary, but they didn’t think it suspicious, reports state.
Police list no suspect description. There have been no arrests.
