Man tells police he was assaulted at North Lumpkin, Cusseta roads

Columbus police say an Opelika, Ala. man was assaulted with a knife Wednesday night at North Lumpkin and Cusseta roads.

The 21-year-old man was at the intersection between 8:30 – 9 p.m. Wednesday when the suspect cut him in the face with a knife. Cut beneath his left eye, the man went to The Medical Center and was listed in good condition, reports state.

Police list the suspect as Reuben Pearson, 20, of Phenix City. Reports state Pearson is 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds.
