A show that features toys for big boys

The first show for Big Boy Toys is billed as a "Father's Day Extravaganza" in the Columbus Civic Center, 400 Fourth St. It's 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Custom cars will be on exhibit along with ziplines, helicopter rides, a demonstration by female roller derby competitors.

For women, there will be jewelry and clothing vendors. Leigh Anna Singleton will offer therapeutic massages.

A family fun area will feature Zumba, Polynesian dancers and jugglers.

Dave Rushing, an area chef, will make an ice carving at 3:30 p.m. both days, using a chainsaw in the Columbus Ice Rink next door. Skating is free; $3 for skate rentals.

There will be cigars, cognac and wine samplings.

Outside, there will be food trucks selling everything from hot dogs and hamburgers to desserts. Sealand Oysters will also be selling .

Mindbender will perform Saturday and Big Woody & the Splinters on Sunday.
