Children involved in May car accident pronounced dead today

Two children involved in a car wreck that took the life of 19-year-old Morgan Berryhill on May 25 died today.

Muscogee County Coroner Bill Thrower said Rayvon Matheny, 5, and Natalie Methany, 2, were both pronounced dead at Egleston Children's Hospital in Atlanta at 11:30 a.m.

According to reports, Clintesha C. Matheny, 32, was driving west on Double Churches Road at Nature Trail about 6 p.m. with her three young children in the vehicle. At the same time, Berryhill was driving east with 21-year-old Thomas Hutcherson.

Police say Matheny's 2009 Chevrolet Equinox crossed over into the eastbound lane. It then collided head-on with Berryhill's 1998 Honda Civic, killing her.

At that time, police said they intended to charge Matheny once they completed their investigation.
