Register your child for sweepstakes from local libraries

Someone may win the $5,000 Think Big! Save for College! sweepstakes.

Georgia's Path2College 529 Plan will offer the sweepstakes to a child entered in the Summer Reading Program.

In early August there will be a random drawing for the scholarship.

The libraries may also be winners. The scholarship winner's home library, the library with the most entries and the library with the greatest percentage of registered users entering the sweepstakes will each win $1,529.

To enter the scholarship sweepstakes, children must be born in 1996 or after. To register the child, one must be a legal resident of Georgia, must be 21-years-old and must be a parent, grandparent or legal guardian.

Those interested can also visit one of the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries.
