Loud noises in Cooper Creek Park lead to drug discovery

Police discovered “synethic” drugs Thursday night in Cooper Creek Park after responding to a noise complaint, according to a Columbus Police report.

There was no suspect listed on the report, but the charge is for Schedule I drugs.

The U.S. Justice Department defines Schedule I drugs as those that have no currently accepted medical use in the United States. Examples would be heroin, LSD, marijuana and ecstasy.

No further details were available. The case remains under investigation.
