A woman was arrested for cocaine possession Tuesday after she gave police a fake name and insisted she did not have illegal substances on her person, according to a Columbus Police Department report.
Police were patrolling near 25th Avenue and Cusseta Road at about 12:45 a.m. when they noticed Theresa Tyndell-Jackson, 57, walking down the middle of the road. Officers stopped her because she had been seen walking earlier in the night.
When Tyndell-Jackson was unable to provide an ID, she told police that her name was Jayana Blackmon and she didn't have anything illegal on her person. After she consented to police searching her purse, an officer found a glass pipe with crack cocaine residue.
Not long after her arrest, Tyndell-Jackson provided her real name. Police found she had an outstanding warrant for Felony Violation of Probation.
