Carver High student, former football player, charged with marijuana possession

A former defensive back for Carver High School was arrested and charged with marijuana possession Thursday, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

An officer working school security at Carver High School was approached by a school administrator who said the smell of marijuana was emanating from one of the classrooms. Marcus Parks, 18, was arrested and charged with marijuana possession with intent to distribute. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.

The report did not say how much marijuana was seized from Parks.

Parks, a senior, is no longer with the team since his senior season has been completed.
