Suspects arguing in car arrested for cocaine after failing to maintain lane

A man and woman were arrested for possession of crack cocaine Friday, Feb. 15 after police noticed the driver swerving due to an argument the two were having, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Corri Jaxon, 21, and Todd Baker, 51, were pulled over at about 12:15 a.m. after an officer noticed Baker crossing the center line near Beallwood Avenue and Neil Drive. After pulling the two over Baker allegedly told the police that he and Jaxon were going to use the .5 grams of crack cocaine they had with them. He also said he and Jaxon used some syringes in the care to inject themselves with the drugs.

Both were charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug related objects. Baker was charged with failure to maintain center lane.

Jaxon and Baker were taken to Muscogee County Jail.
