Two arrested at Best Western, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Update (Friday, 7:20 a.m.):

Another man was arrested for more than $4,000 worth of marijuana at Best Western on Macon Road while police investigated another marijuana possession case, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Gerald Ford, 28, was arrested for about 807.5 grams Thursday at about 2 p.m. after he was stopped by officers investigating another drug investigation at the Best Western on the 3000 block of Macon Road. Police also found an open 24 oz bottle of of Bud Light that was still partially full.

When officers attempted to arrest Ford, he ran. He was caught in the middle of Macon Road.

Ford was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, felony possession of marijuana and obstruction. The marijuana found in his vehicle totaled $4,037 in street value, according to the report.

Ford was later transported to Muscogee County Jail.

A man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after police discovered almost $1,000 worth of marijuana at a Best Western on Macon Road, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Anthony Kordelro, 26, was arrested for about three ounces of marijuana Thursday at the Best Western on the 3000 block of Macon Road. Investigators valued the 96 grams as having a $960 value.

The report did not state whether Kordelro was a guest at Best Western or an employee.

Kordelro was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug related objects. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
