Police search for Memphis, Tenn., murder suspect

A man suspected in a Memphis, Tenn., murder is being sought by Crime Stoppers and the U.S. Marshal's office in Columbus, according to a press release.

Daniel Nesbit was named as a suspect in the Aug. 7, 2012 death of Jenario Taylor, according to a Crime Stoppers press release. Police believe Taylor was in his residence on Clinchstone Circle when three men, two armed with guns, entered his home demanding money. Taylor was later shot.

Witnesses told police that those involved in the shooting fled in a white Pontiac G6.Later that same day, Nesbit was seen at another place in Shelby County. He allegedly went behind a bush at this address and came out with long gun, which he used to shoot a man in the area in the legs.

Nesbit has been seen in Columbus visiting a home on the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue.

Police warn Nesbit is armed and dangerous. Those with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 706 653 3188 or text "VACS"with your information to 274637. Information leading to an arrest may lead to a reward of up to $1,000.
