Devin Velez was eliminated from "American Idol" Thursday night. Burnell Taylor and Lazaro Arbos joined him in the bottom three.
The results weren't too shocking. Devin initially hooked the judges by singing in English and Spanish, but he failed to secure a fan base at this stage of the competition. He made multiple trips to the bottom three and delivered performances that lacked energy.
He sang "Somos Novios (It's Impossible)" in an unsuccessful attempt to earn the judges' "save."
Was he the weakest singer this week? I don't think so. That honor goes to Lazaro, who likely lasted another week due to the power of his back story rather than the strength of his vocals.

Thursday's results show was the 450th episode of "Idol." Colton Dixon sang "Love Has Come For Me," Katharine McPhee joined OneRepublic to perform "If I Lose Myself" and Keith Urban sang "Long Hot Summer."
There was a group performance of "Old Time Rock and Roll."
Lazaro Arbos, Burnell Taylor, Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Janelle Arthur and Kree Harrison remain in the competition. Rock is reportedly next week's theme.
