Police search for robber on Hood Street

Police are searching a suspect called "Peanut" after a man was allegedly robbed and beaten on Hood Street, according to a Columbus Police report.

The 50-year-old victim told police that he was walking on Hood Street at about 2 a.m., when a man known as "Peanut" came up behind him. Peanut hit the victim several times in the head and the back. During that time, he allegedly stole $20 out of the victim's pocket. Before leaving the scene, the victim said Peanut kicked him in the side on the ground several times.

A sufficient description for Peanut was not available. No other items were listed as taken.
