Man battered by woman's 'baby's daddy' at Parkwood Mobile Home Park

An intoxicated man says he was beaten by a Parkwood Mobile Home Park resident after asking a woman for a ride home, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers spoke with the 27-year-old victim Tuesday at about 6:20 p.m., at the 928 Farr Road Mobile Home Park. Wearing a T-shirt coated in dried blood, he told police that he was visiting friends at an unspecified trailer and went to a residence next door to ask a woman for a ride.

The victim alleged that when he asked for a ride, a man he identified as the woman's "'baby's daddy' jumped on him for no reason." The man punched and kicked the victim, then sped off in a truck, which was not described.

EMTs offered the victim medical assistance, but he refused. He had several lacerations to his face, and seemed heavily intoxicated, according to the report.

When police asked other residents if they had seen anything, only one person saw what potentially was the fight between the suspect and the victim. One witness told police she saw two seemingly drunk men yelling and cursing at one another, but "didn't think anything of it."

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-6 black man. He was skinny, had a dark complexion and a "low" haircut.
