Columbus Lions announce signing of 14 players for 2015 season

The Columbus Lions announced earlier this week the re-signing of nine players from last year's roster and five new players.

Quarterback Antwon Young and receiver Jarmon Fortson (Carver) are returning.

Also returning on offense are offensive linemen Tim Moore, Brandon Thomas and Dion Small.

Four players are returning on defense. They are defensive back Roshawn Marshall and defensive linemen Kendrick Washington, Jerry Willis and Xavier Boatright.

Marshall led the Professional Indoor Football League with 10 interceptions last season.

The Lions have also signed five that played with the Georgia Fire last season.

They are kicker Lindsey Wolfe, wide receiver Terrance Ebagua, linebacker Larry Edwards and wide receivers John Harris and Antwontis Cutts.

Harris finished with 85 catches for the Fire, which has been replaced by a team in Erie, Pa., for the 2015 season.
