During the next month at Fort Benning, soldiers will use plastic explosives, drop 500-pound bombs and fire heavy weapons in the northeast section of the post.
Nate Snook, a public affairs spokesman, said the training will be ongoing through Dec. 9 at Brooks, Hastings, Ruth, Carmouche and other ranges on the military reservation. "Our challenge is to balance our soldier's training requirements with the needs of the community," Snook said in a release.
According to the schedule, training begins at 9 a.m. but ends at midnight. Officials noted the schedule may be subject to changes.
