Division-II Southeast Regional games set for CSU

The game times for the men's and women's Division II Southeast Regionals have been set.

The Lady Cougars, who are the No. 2 seed, will tip off at 2:30 p.m. Friday against Carson-Newman.

The regional is being played at Limestone University in the Timken Center in Gaffney, S.C.

In other first round games, Anderson, the third seed, will play Newberry, the sixth seed, at noon.

In the other side of the bracket, top-seeded Limestone will play Catawba, the eighth seed, at 5 p.m., followed by No. 4 seed Lander which will play No. 5 Wingate at 7:30 p.m.

The semifinals will be played Saturday, with the championship game on Monday.

The winner of the regional will advance to the Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The Southeast Regional winner will be matched up against the Midwest Regional winner in the Elite Eight round. The Midwest is being hosted by Michigan Tech.

The Elite 8 starts on March 24, with the championship game on March 27.

Meanwhile, the CSU men, seeded sixth, will open the men's Southeast Regional at noon Saturday against UNC Pembroke, the third seed.

The regional is being hosted by top-seeded Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate, Tenn.

Montevallo, the second seed, will play No. 7 seed Carson-Newman at 2:30 p.m., followed by Lincoln Memorial against North Greenville, the eighth seed, at 5 p.m. and No. 4 Mount Olive against No. 5 Georgia Regents at 7:30 p.m.
