Reed, Larson lead Gators to 7-4 win over Alabama

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Buddy Reed and Ryan Larson each drove in two runs Saturday to lead No. 5 Florida to a 7-4 win over Alabama at McKethan Stadium.

Jake Hubbard (2-2) allowed three runs on two walks and an error in 1-3 of an inning of relief and took the loss.

A.J. Puk (5-2) allowed no runs and just one hit in 3 1-3 innings of relief to pick up the win for the Gators (23-6, 5-4 Southeastern Conference).

Will Haynie and Chandler Avant each had two hits for the Tide (14-12, 4-5).

Late Friday night, Alabama lost the second game of a doubleheader 8-1 to the Gators. The Tide won the first game 12-9.
