Thompson, Grier lead Auburn past Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Keegan Thomspon pitched eight shutout innings to lead Auburn to a 4-0 win over Mississippi State on Saturday.

Justin Camp pitched the ninth and finished the shutout.

The Tigers also shut out the Bulldogs on Friday night. It was the Tigers' first back-to-back shutouts since 2001 and first back-to-back shutouts of an SEC opponent since 1988 (Ole Miss.)

Anfernee Grier (Russell County) went 2-for-4 with a two-run single in the fifth inning.

Auburn tries for the sweep at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Dalton Rentz (CVCC) will make his second start for the Tigers.
