High school roundup: Columbus, Shellnut win titles in 15th MCI Invitational

Columbus and Northside shared the honors at the 15th Muscogee County Invitational on Monday at Maple Ridge.

Columbus won the team title with a 299, 17 shots ahead of Northside.

But the Patriots' Zac Shellnut won medalist honors with a 71, a shot ahead of Columbus' Nolan Miller.

GULF SHORES, Ala.-- Central split a pair of games on Monday, Day 1 of the Gulf Shoes Classic III, beating Station Camp 13-1 and losing to Oxford 3-0.

In the first game, Taylor Corbett and Allie Farrow knocked in three runs apiece. Madison Graham drove in a pair.

Katie Webb got the win.

Webb was the only one to get a hit in the Game 2 loss.
