Columbus State wins sixth straight in rout of AUM

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Columbus State won its sixth straight game, 12-3 at Auburn-Montgomery on Wednesday.

Dustin Avertt led the Cougars (23-10), going 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Carson Bowers went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Brendan Collins and Jackson Oliver had two hits apiece.

Blake Edwards and Ryan Ihle drove in two runs each.

The Cougars open a Peach Belt Conference series against Georgia Southwestern at home at 5 p.m. Friday.
