Chattahoochee Valley sweeps Jeff Davis with two shutouts

Chattahoochee Valley Community College swept a doubleheader with a pair of shutouts, 6-0 and 8-0, against Jeff Davis on Thursday afternoon at Howard Lake Field.

Jake Mazier hit a homer and drove in three runs in Game 1. Hunter Webb, Ryan Hagan and JT Thomas had two hits apiece. Both of Hagan's were doubles.

Bryce Conley (6-1) picked up the win, allowing just two hits in eight innings. Tyler Welch pitched the ninth to finish the shutout.

In Game 2, Tyler Lynn and Kenny Ford had three hits apiece. Grayson Ivey went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.

Landon faulkner (7-3) pitched six innings and allowed just two hits. Will Tillery pitched the seventh to finish the shutout.

CVCC (29-9, 15-3 ACCC South) will play at Jeff Davis on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
