BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Daniel Spingola and Matt Gonzalez each had three hits and drove in three runs Friday night to lead a Georgia Tech rally in an 11-5 win over Virginia Tech at English Field.
Trailing 5-2 after six innings, the Jackets (20-10, 6-7 Atlantic Coast Conference) rallied for three runs in the seventh, one in the eighth and five in the ninth.
Matthew Gorst (2-2) threw 1 2-3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win. Sean Kennedy gave up the winning run and took the loss.
Georgia Tech faces Virginia Tech (16-15, 6-7) Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
