Where to hunt for Easter eggs

You can probably find an Easter egg hunt at nearly every church in town, but here are two free public events hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office.

The citywide Easter egg hunt will feature more than 10,000 eggs, candy and prizes. It begins at noon at South Commons, 400 Fourth St. Call 706-225-4658 for more info.

The Sheriff's Office Easter Egg Scramble will feature more than 2,800 eggs, bouncy houses, obstacle courses and slides. It is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Woodruff Park, 1000 Bay Ave., with "scrambles" at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Call Lt. Kasey Trombley at 706-225-3297 or Chelsey Moon at 706-653-4225.
