High school roundup: Hawks' Locey throws one-hitter, hits three-run homer

Hardaway's Tony Locey pitched a one-hitter and hit a three-run homer in leading Hardaway to a 7-0 victory over Shaw on Friday afternoon.

Locey also had a single and finished with five RBIs. He had 13 strikeouts and walked just one.

Tre'Von Dorsey went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Marcus Small had a pair of hits and an RBI.

Tyler Keese struck out eight and was a walk away from a perfection in Game 2 Friday as Glenwood swept Lowndes Academy.

Tyler Cadenhead was almost as good in Game 1. He gave up one run on two hits and struck out eight. Both games were shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Glenwood has won 13 in a row.

Glenwood (26-3) hosts Lee-Scott Tuesday for a doubleheader with the region title on the line.
