HOOVER, Ala. -- It didn't last as long as Thursday night's marathon contest, but the resulst was the same as LSU beat Alabama 6-4 in 13 innings on Saturday.
The win completed the three-game sweep for third-ranked LSU (27-5, 8-4 SEC).
Thursday's game took 16 innings and 5½ hours. Saturday's game took 4:06.
In the top of the 13th Saturday, LSU's Andrew Stevenson walked, stole second, went to third on a throwing error by the catcher and scored on an errant pickoff throw from the pitcher, Thomas Burrows. The Tigers added another run later in the frame.

Ray Castillo (Russell County) pitched 5 2-3 innings of scoreless relief for the Tide (15-15, 4-8), who play at Samford on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
