Columbus State bounced back from a loss in the opening game of the series against Georgia Southwestern to sweep the Hurricanes 2-1 and 5-3 on Saturday afternoon at Ragsdale Field.
In the opener, Jake Ezell (5-1) gave up just one run on six hits in 7 1-3 innings. Trey Watson pitched the ninth inning to record his sixth save.
Brenda Collins went 3-for-4 to lead the Cougars. Jackson Oliver singled in a run in the third.
In the nightcap, CSU scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 4-3 lead. Both runs scored on bases-loaded walks.

Collins and Ryan Ihle had two hits apiece. Mike McClellan drove in two runs.
CSU (25-11, 11-10 Peach Belt Conference) plays Tuskegee in Montgomery at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
