Man, woman attacked with liquor bottle during Boby Drive dispute

Authorities say a 27-year-old Columbus man assaulted a man and woman with a liquor bottle Saturday in the 3300 block on Boby Drive.

William Spaulding, 27, was arrested and charged aggravated assault, reckless conduct and third-degree cruelty to children.

Police accused the Aldora Drive resident of striking the 22-year-old woman on the forehead and nose with a liquor bottle between 4:15 p.m. and 4:46 p.m. He reportedly assaulted a 32-year-old man with a liquor bottle within the same time frame, but officials didn't specify how in the report.

The attack left the woman with a raised knot on her forehead and redness in the nose area, but she declined medical treatment, records show.

In the report, police did not indicate whether or not the man was injured following the assault.

The 7-year-old boy allegedly witnessed the incidents, which stem from a domestic dispute, according to officials.

An officer was called to the scene Saturday at 4:46 p.m.
