Courtney Lowery finishes 8th at UWG Invitational

CARROLLTON, Ga. -- The Columbus State University women's golf team closed out play on Tuesday at the University of West Georgia Invitational at the Sunset Hills Country Club.

Courtney Lowery topped the list for the Lady Cougars with a round of five-over par 77 Tuesday. The sophomore finished with a three-day total of 225 to end in eighth place. It marks the fifth time in 10 events that Lowery has placed inside the top 10.

After rounds of 80 and 89 on Monday, senior Ciera Bagley carded an 85 in the final round. Bagley posted a 254 total for the tournament and tied for 37th place overall.

Montevallo's Arin Eddy stayed in the top spot to earn the individual title, while Lander jumped the Falcons to win the team title.

CSU will have one final tune-up before next week's Peach Belt Conference Championship. The Lady Cougars will play a one-day match against Point University Friday at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga. The two teams will tee off at 3:00 p.m.
