LAGRANGE, Ga. -- LaGrange High pitcher Tristain Daugherty held Columbus High to just two hits and earned a 2-1 victory Tuesday in LaGrange.

LaGrange broke a 1-1 tie when Larkin Easterwood hit an RBI single in the third inning.

Justin Seguin's sacrifice fly drove home Jared Welch in the bottom of the seventh inning as Pacelli edged Taylor County 12-11 in baseball on Tuesday.

Pacelli trailed 11-5 but scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to tie the contest.

A three-run home run by Ed Jenkins and RBI double by Bryce Hagler were the key hits.

MACON, Ga. -- Cliff Jackson scored two goals and Jacob Anthony added another as Covenant Academy beat Calvary Christian in soccer 3-2 on Tuesday.

Brandon McQuinn scored both goals for Calvary Christian.

MACON, GA.-- Andrew Butcher had a goal and an assist as the Brookstone soccer team topped Tattnall Square 6-0 in boys soccer.

Brookstone goalie Ben Holt had six saves.

The win brought Brookstone's record to 5-6-1.Tuesday at Tattnall

Sonia Lopez had four saves and recorded her first shutout as the Central High girls topped Opelika 3-0 in soccer Tuesday.

Gisela Barbosa, Jordyn Wheeler Alexus scored goals. Both teams had four shots on goal.

Central is now 1-7 and plays at Auburn on Thursday.



The Shaw High girls and the Harris County boys won a track meet featuring six teams on Tuesday.

The meet was held at Kinnett Stadium.

The girl scores were Shaw 178, Spencer 172, Carver 82, Hardaway 81, Harris County 37 and Chattahoochee County 14.

Team totals for the boys were Harris County 137, Spencer 133, Hardaway 126, Shaw 109, Carver 72 and Chattahoochee County 35.

The Northside girls golf team beat Columbus High and Harris County in a three-way match Tuesday at Bull Creek Golf Course.

Northside finished with a nine-hole total of 136. Columbus has a 142 and Harris County a 145.

Columbus High's girls tennis team clinched the Region 1-AAAAA championship with a 5-0 victory over LaGrange at Lakebottom in Columbus.

Columbus did not lose any of its six region matches.

The Blue Devils are 11-3 for the season and play Wednesday at Lakebottom against Opelika.
