FORSYTH, Ga. -- Brookstone's boys won the Area 4-A championship Tuesday and Pacelli's Sarah Grace Drop shot an 82 to win medalist honors and advance to state.
Brookstone's top four players combined for a 297, which was 10 shots better than second place First Presbyterian Day of Macon.
Brookstone's William Reaves and Evans Copeland tied for medalist honors with 72s.
Brookstone, which has won five straight state titles and 14 overall, advances to the state championship May 18 at Eagle's Brook Country Club in Locust Grove, Ga.
Second to Drop was Calvary Day's Taylor Rice at 100. Third place finished in a tie at 103 between Calvary Day's Gabrielle D'Alessandro and First Presbyterian Day's Cassidy Pearson.Tuesday at River Forest Golf Club

LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Northside scored two runs in the top of the seventh innings to force extra innings, but the Patriots eventually fell 4-2 in 10 innings to LaGrange.
Larkin Easterwood hit a two-run homer with no outs in the bottom of the 10th to give the Grangers the win.
The win keeps LaGrange in a tie with Hardaway at 8-5 in Region 1-AAAAA. They both moved past Northside, which dropped to fifth at 8-7.
