The rainy weather that has enveloped the Southeast for the past week or so continues to play havoc on the sports schedules of high school and college baseball teams.
Here is a look at the games that were postponed on Friday:
The Northside at Columbus game has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. today.
The two teams' game at Northside, which was postponed Thursday, has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The LaGrange at Hardaway game has been moved to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Harris County and Carver were rained out for the second day in a row. The teams will try to play a doubleheader at Harris County at 4 p.m. today.
The Jordan at Jackson game has been moved to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The Pacelli at Brookstone game has been moved to 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The Smiths Station at Central doubleheader was moved to 2 p.m. today.
According to the AHSAA, all area games must be completed by today.
The Kendrick at Spencer game was also postponed. Their earlier game this week was also rained out. The teams will now play a doubleheader at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Shirley B. Winston Park. The teams will alternate being the home team.
Soccer was also affected. Columbus High's two games at East Coweta, scheduled for Friday, were cancelled. There was no word on the other soccer scheduled for Friday.
BRASLETON, Ga. -- Nolan Miller and Stanton Schorr shot even-par 71s Friday to lead Columbus to the top of the leaderboard at the North Georgia High School Golf Classic.
The Blue Devils finished the first round at 4-over 288, 10 shots ahead of Etowah, which is at 298.
Miller and Schorr are tied for third on the individual leaderboard.
Ben Carr and Ben Womack added 73s for the Blue Devils.
The final round is scheduled for today with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.Friday at Brasleton
