19-year-old dies from blunt force in car crash on Colin Powell exit ramp in Phenix City

A teenager is dead after a single vehicle accident Thursday on the Colin Powell exit ramp in Phenix City, according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.

Sumbry identified the victim as Marshall Cole Woods, 19. Woods was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, according to Sumbry.

Sumbry said Woods, who was in a Ford F-150, had blunt-force injuries. His body will be sent for an autopsy to determine cause of death. More information about the cause or factors of the crash weren’t available yet, Sumbry said.
