Woman dies after being hit by vehicle near Columbus fast-food restaurant, coroner says
A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Victory Drive Tuesday night, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
Bryan identified the victim as Heather Spillers, 43. She was pronounced dead at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday in an intensive care unit at a local hospital, according to Bryan.
Bryan said the incident occurred by the Wendy’s on Victory Drive. Police reported the crash on social media just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, and said the department’s motor squad was leading an investigation into the incident. No other information was released.
