More roundabouts are coming to Columbus. Here’s when and where they’ll be completed
Roundabouts have been around since 1790 when Pierre L’Enfant proposed circular junctions for Washington, D.C. and they’ve been a standard in city planning and organizing ever since.
Georgia is no different. We have nearly 400 roundabouts across the state, with 240 future projects currently in development, and Columbus is no exception.
According to the Columbus Consolidated Government’s Transportation Improvement Plan for 2024-2027 and the Proposed TSPLOST Projects at least eight new projects are planned for the next three years.
