Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle at intersection in Columbus, coroner says
A man has died after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Columbus, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said.
Bryan identified the victim as 76-year-old Robert Kelly.
Kelly was pronounced dead at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday at a local hospital, according to Bryan.
Bryan said Kelly had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 14th Street and Veterans Parkway. The Columbus Police Department, which is investigating the incident, said it occurred Wednesday at 5:15 a.m.
CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago said no arrests have been made at this time.
