Phenix City woman dead after head-on crash in Russell County. 2 other people injured

One person is dead and others are injured after a Russell County crash, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced Tuesday.

Tonya R. McGraw, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened at 7:50 a.m. about 3 miles west of Phenix City on U.S. 80. McGraw was fatally injured when the 2016 Hyundai Sonata she was driving collided head on with a 2013 Ford F-350, according to ALEA.

ALEA said the F-350 struck a 2015 Honda Accord before colliding with the vehicle McGraw was driving. The two other drivers were injured and taken to Piedmont Midtown Medical Center, according to ALEA.

ALEA said no additional information was available and troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division were investigating.
