A Columbus lottery player won big with a jackpot last week, the Georgia Lottery announced.

A player who bought their ticket at USA Food Mart, 1007 Kia Parkway, managed to match all five winning numbers in the Fantasy 5 game, earning a payout of $141,559, lottery officials said.

The winner, who wasn’t identified by the Georgia Lottery, was one of two players in the state to match all five numbers and hit the jackpot. Six other players across the state won five-figure sums playing lottery games on the Georgia Lottery mobile app and website.

Fantasy 5 drawings are held every day, and proceeds go toward Georgia education, as is the case with all Georgia Lottery games.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
