A child is dead following a drowning Sunday in Columbus, the Columbus Police Department announced Sunday.

A post on the department’s X page says the drowning was reported in the 6200 block of Brooklet Drive. CPD public information officer Brittany Santiago said the victim was 3 years old.

Adult & Youth Services is leading the investigation, according to the post.

No further information was available at the time of publication.
