Country stars to perform at annual Fort Benning Independence Celebration
The annual Fort Benning Independence Celebration will feature familiar award-winning country stars.
CMT Music Award-winning country music duo Maddie & Tae will headline the concert, according to a news release from Fort Benning. The duo is known for hit songs including “Girl In A Country Song” and “Die From A Broken Heart.”
“Maddie & Tae bring honest songwriting and tight harmonies to the stage,” the release says.
The release says the concert will also feature platinum selling, Grammy-nominated songwriter, artist and performer Eric Paslay. Paslay’s hits include songs like “Friday Night” and “She Don’t Love You.”
“The country artist (Paslay) has earned numerous songwriter award nominations including Grammy’s Best Country Song, ACM’s Song of the Year (twice) and CMA’s Song of the Year,” the news release says.
The 2025 Independence Celebration will include a kids zone, aerial demonstration by the Silver Wings, 34-foot jump towers and a variety of food trucks. The evening will conclude with a Maneuver Center of Excellence Band performance choreographed to the fireworks show, the release says.
The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on June 28 at York Field, on Eckel Avenue in front of McGinnis-Wickam Hall, Building 4.
